Amy & Matt

 Amy & Matt tied the knot on November 9th 2024 at Five Vineyard in Mernda, an architecturally designed winery built in amongst a 14ha vineyard. FIVE Vineyard is the perfect place for an intimate wedding, located just 45 minutes north of Melbourne.

Matt wanted to surprise Amy when it came time for the proposal, Amy tells us, “I took Matt out for dinner to celebrate a university milestone. Before we left, he tied a bandana around our dog’s neck, saying “Mum, will you marry my Dad?” I had no idea! We let her inside when we got home as usual, and Matt got down on one knee while holding her and the ring. It was so beautiful and so unexpected!” 

Belle et Blanc bride ‘Amy’ picked the ‘Riva’ fit and flare wedding gown, in sumptuous satin with pearl detailing. Amy tells us how she came to choose her beautiful gown, “I had been for a bridal appointment, previously with a girlfriend who is getting married in 2025, so I decided to book an appointment for myself too. I found the whole process amazing! During our initial bridal consultation appointment, Sara my consultant, was incredible and made us all feel so comfortable and at ease. I had a few customisations to the dress I chose, and I never felt like anything was too hard or too difficult.”

The wedding day was the ultimate surprise for all their guests, Amy tells us, “Matt and I planned the ULTIMATE surprise wedding. We arrived at the venue together at 5pm and took our couple ‘bride and groom’ photos, including a first look and all the classics of a normal wedding. We then got changed into cocktail attire for guest arrival at 7pm. Our invitations specified 8pm speeches. During speeches, we surprised our guests by introducing our celebrant! There was a quick 10-minute breather while we got changed back into our wedding clothes and our celebrant coordinated chairs and an aisle, had a short and sweet ceremony, and then we partied the night away.”
