Christine & Shehan
An Elegant City Wedding with Mountain Magic: Christine & Shehan’s Day to Remember
From snowy Swiss peaks to the glamorous halls of the Ritz Carlton Melbourne, Christine and Shehan’s wedding journey was a perfect blend of heartfelt moments, classic style, and a little bit of cheeky chaos.
The Proposal That Almost Was (And Still Totally Was!)
Shehan had the perfect proposal planned: a quiet, private moment inside an empty Swiss cable car at Jungfraujoch. But plans changed quickly when Christine, in her usual adventurous spirit, jumped into a full cable car before he could say a word!
No worries though — love always finds a way. Surrounded by snow and magic on the mountain, Shehan got down on one knee and asked Christine to be his forever. “It was perfect,” Christine says. And that’s how their forever began.
A Stylish City Soirée
On 15th March 2025, the couple said “I do” at the effortlessly cool Glasshaus Brucke before moving into a luxurious celebration at Ritz Carlton Melbourne. From lush floral arrangements by @leilani_by_gg to heartfelt memories captured by Twin Leaf Weddings, every detail was thoughtfully curated.
Christine stunned in a Belle et Blanc gown that matched her personality to a tee—elegant, comfortable, and full of charm. “I felt confident, beautiful and so comfortable,” she shared. “Donna and the girls made the whole process feel easy and relaxing. I’ll never forget how Donna skipped lunch to let my bridesmaids come see the gown last-minute. That kind of care meant the world.”
Style, Sophistication, and a Little Sass
Shehan looked dashing in Hugo Boss, while Christine completed her bridal look with shoes by Loeffler Randall. Her hair and makeup, styled by @makeupbyellyliana and @styledbyteresap, was effortlessly glowing.
Guests were treated to a decadent cake by Pollen Pastry, good vibes from DJ Emily Gracie, and the timeless arrival of the couple in a classic ride from Always Classic Cars.
A Wedding Story for the Ages (and the Group Chat)
Of course, no wedding is complete without a little drama! Before the reception began, Christine managed to get food on her gown—right in the middle of it. “It literally looked like poo,” she laughs. “It took a whole team at the Ritz Carlton to try and get it off me!”
Friends agreed it was such a “Christine” thing to happen—and honestly, it just made the night even more memorable.
From Mountains to Melbourne
Christine and Shehan’s wedding was the perfect reflection of their love: sophisticated yet down-to-earth, heartfelt but full of laughter. From a snow-covered proposal to a dance floor full of joy, their journey reminds us all that the best moments often come when you least expect them.
