Emma & Tom

Emma and Tom tied the knot on the 20th October 2023 at the magnificent and scenic Perricoota Station, in Moama. With its stunning setting on the banks of the Murray River and lush greenery, Perricoota Station is the perfect backdrop for your dream wedding. The property features a historic homestead, old Cobb & Co coach stables, The Quarters & Watsons House and The Packing Shed.

Emma tells us know Tom proposed after a chance meeting half way across the world. “Tom and I met overseas in Nashville, Tennessee while I was on a USA trip. Tom was visiting his brother and best man in Nashville. We bonded over our love for the Murray River back home, as we had grown up there. Once we returned to Australia, we started dating and several years later Tom hitched up my inherited 1967 caravan, and we set out for the Murray River. Tom proposed on the banks of the river one cold Winter day, and of course the answer was, Yes!”

Belle et Blanc bride ‘Emma’ came into our bridal store and picked out the stunning Aylin’ wedding dress, a gorgeous fit and flare gown with lace detailing a shimmering sequinned underlay. Emma tells us, “I found out about Belle et Blanc as I was searching online for bridal shops in Melbourne. As I live 3 hours from Melbourne, I did a lot of online searching before spending a weekend down in Melbourne. I spent two separate weekends trying dresses on with my Mum and sister, and the Aylin dress was the one dress I had my eye on from 3 different bridal shops. When I tried the Aylin on, I was so happy and felt great in the dress and knew that it was the one. The gown had a lot of beautiful details, and Sara my lovely bridal consultant at Belle et Blanc, provided me with personal touches that would suit me best and helped me with a beautiful matching veil as well.”

The wedding day for Emma and Tom was such a wonderful day, accompanied by their nearest and dearest friends and family. Emma tells us,“Our wedding ceremony and reception was at the magnificent Perricoota Station, in Moama. My bridesmaids and myself stayed at the station the night before the wedding, and the boys stayed across the river at Goolwa River Retreat. Our wedding day was so magical, everything went so smoothly. My husband arrived via boat to the ceremony which was really fun! My bridesmaids and I arrived in a XT Falcon and XW Falcon. Our day went by so quickly, however we embraced every moment. Tom and I snuck away for some beautiful sunset photos by the river. The bridal party entered the reception to footloose and we surprised our guests with a somewhat coordinated line dance! It was a lot of fun and our family and friends absolutely loved it. We gave our guests disposable cameras, which made for some very memorable moments.”

Our entire team of wedding dress designers, are so thankful to Emma and Tom, and feel so honoured Emma picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs. Emma adds lastly, “Thank you to everyone at Belle et Blanc for your organisation, guidance and kindness in the months leading up to the wedding and for being such a big part of our day.”
