Jaymie and Harry
It was meant to be for Jaymie and Harry after meeting eleven years ago at a party, and Harry left the party with Jaymie’s phone number on his arm with a permanent marker and called her the very next day. Jaymie and Harry tied the knot on the 4th February 2022 at the picturesque Riverstone Estate, Coldstream. The Estate is a 75-acre property set on the banks of the Yarra River, amid Melbourne’s famous Yarra Valley wine country.
There’s a lot of pressure associated with orchestrating the perfect proposal, and Harry waited for that magical moment to propose to Jaymie with a grand gesture, even though Jaymie was in a hurry! Jaymie tells us, “We were on our way to a friend’s wedding and Harry had the ring in his pocket and had planned to stop off at a viewing area with an amazing outlook and propose there. I wasn’t having any of it, worrying we were going to be late, I didn’t want to stop. Harry was so desperate to propose he pretended to have a sore back and pulled into Myrtleford, near a sculpture called the ‘Phoenix Tree’. We got out and he kept going on about how cool the sculpture was and I kept saying it was time to go. He pointed out a sign, and when I turned to look back at him, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him! Then we went on to our friend’s wedding and kept it our little secret the whole time!”
The wedding day was such a special day for both Jaymie and Harry and they felt so blessed to be able to spend the day with their nearest and dearest. Jaymie tells us, “My new in-laws had managed to make it all the way from the UK during Covid. We had amazing weather, everything went well and no one got Covid. The whole day was so amazingly perfect, I couldn’t stop smiling the whole day.”
Belle et Blanc bride ‘Jaymie’ came into our bridal store and picked out the stunning ‘Vesna’ wedding dress, a fitted V-neckline ball gown with glittering tulle throughout, intricate 3-D lace appliqué and an extravagant train. Jaymie tells us,“ I felt like an absolute princess. I honestly love my dress so much, I just feel so amazing and beautiful in it. It was long and flowing and actually very comfortable.”
We are so thankful to Jaymie and Harry, and feel so honoured Jaymie picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs.
