Kahyan & Pinwei

  Kahyan and Pinwei tied the knot on the 30th of December 2023 in the glamorous Ritz Carlton Singapore, located in the heart of the city centre in Marina Bay. The hotel is so exclusive it houses one of the largest contemporary art collections in South-East Asia, including works by David Hockney, Andy Warhol, Dale Chihuly, and Zhu Wei. The couple also had the joy of having a second celebration in Malaysia on the 7th January 2024.

Belle et Blanc bride ‘Kahyan’ picked the ‘Sophie‘ princess wedding gown, with a sweetheart neckline and lace appliqué. Kahyan tells us how she came to choose her beautiful gown, “When I tried my gown on, it was everything I wanted, and immediately shortlisted it. I tried on two more gowns and decided that was the one, I was in love with my dress! The fitting process was really smooth, especially since I told the ladies at Belle et Blanc that I had to go back to Singapore a month earlier than the original date. The consultants quickly expedited the whole process, and it was such a breeze. I’m really grateful to all the consultants there, as my bridesmaids were all in Singapore, and they could only see me through FaceTime!”

The wedding day was such a wonderful day, accompanied by their nearest and dearest friends and family. Kahyan tells us a funny story about her gown, how it was given the first class treatment prior to the wedding. “I had to hand-carry my gown on my flight to Singapore for the wedding, it was 10kg and I was worried there was no space in the cabin to fit my gown. The air steward saw the gown and congratulated us before taking the gown to find a place to store. After a while he came to my seat, to show me where they stowed my gown, and they gave my gown a whole seat in first class! I was so tempted to swap my seat with the gown!”
