Leah and Frank
Leah and Frank were one of the lucky couples who got married just before Covid hit Australian shores and were able to enjoy a large wedding of over 200 people at Saint Brigid’s Parish in Fitzroy followed by a reception at the beautiful Meadowbank Estate on the 14th March 2020.
The proposal was gorgeous and just a little funny. Frank had been planning to propose to Leah a number of times, but it never seemed to come to fruition. One morning Frank wanted to take Leah to breakfast, he was insistent on taking her to Port Melbourne instead of going to their usual local cafe. The morning was a typical wintery day in Melbourne, cold and grey and Leah was feeling grumpy and cold. Frank took Leah down for a walk by the old port and all Leah could think about was having her morning coffee. Frank began talking about his parents and how it was on that very spot his parents arrived in Australia from Italy and started a new life together. He then completely surprised Leah and got down on bended knee and asked her to marry him and start a beautiful life together, just like his parents had done.
The wedding day was simply magical and full of joy. Looking back now, Frank and Leah were so thankful to be able to spend their day with friends and family from not only Melbourne, but also around Australia and around the world, including Sydney, Adelaide, Switzerland and Italy. They took extreme measures to keep their guests safe, Leah tells us, “My husband was constantly spraying the guests with hand sanitiser throughout the night, it was very funny, it was a wonderful day.”
Belle et Blanc ‘Leah’ came into our bridal store and picked out the absolutely stunning ‘Carly‘ wedding dress. Leah tells us, “I saw my dress and fell in love straight away, there was no other dress I found as perfect as this one.”
We are so thankful to Leah and Frank, and feel so honoured Leah picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs!
