Liana and Charles

  Liana and Charles tied the knot on 19th of October 2024 at Saint Ignatius Church in Richmond Catholic Parish, and later had the reception at the stylish venue, Manor on High.

Charles had a romantic proposal in store for Liana; she tells us, “Charles and I had planned to go to the Gold Coast for a week over the Summer in 2022. For some reason Charles decided to wrap, put a padlock, and a luggage strap on his suitcase. I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but I found it very strange as we were only travelling interstate. We got to the hotel and I decided to have a shower before we went out that night. I came out of the shower and went outside and there Charles was, on one knee, asking me to marry him. I had so many emotions at the time. I felt happy, excited, emotional, privileged and most of all, in love.”

Belle et Blanc bride ‘Liana’ picked the ‘Regina’ princess wedding gown, in delicate organza with a modern split. Liana tells us how she came to choose her beautiful gown, “My sister had purchased her wedding gown from Belle et Blanc in 2023, so I came in hoping to find my own wedding gown here. On the day that I came to find a dress, I tried on almost every style in the boutique. My dress was the last dress I tried on. My Mum picked it up and said, “Liana, what about this one? It has gorgeous detail throughout the dress and the style is lovely.” I said “I don’t like that Mum, I don’t think it’s for me.” Mum insisted on having me try it on, so I listened to her. Once Donna, my bridal consultant, finished doing up the corset, I cried. I was in love with this gown and told my Mum we had to buy it.”

The wedding day was such a wonderful day, accompanied by their nearest and dearest friends and family. Liana tells us, “Prior to my wedding day, I showed Charles 10 dresses, of which one of them was my dress. I told him to have a guess on which dress I would wear. Of course Charles chose my dress. I played it off and pretended like I would never wear that kind of dress! He was still amazed on our wedding day.”
