Mismatched Bridesmaid Dresses
It has always been a tradition to have all bridesmaid dresses in the same gown. But what if you had bridesmaid with different body shapes?
Over the past few years, mismatched bridesmaid dresses have been more popular with laid back, rustic themes taking center stage. This trend is fun but can also be a lot of work for yourself. You are giving your bridesmaid the option to choose their own gown but they will always ask you “Is this OK?”.
There are many questions for you to ask yourself before you choose to take this road.
How do you envision your bridal party to look like on the day?
Are you concerned with how everyone feels in their gown?
Are you concerned that everyone is wearing something they love?
Do you care if someone wore something you didn’t love?
Hopefully answering some of these questions will help you decide what you want and what you want to do with your bridal party.
It is always best to give directions if you opt to take this path.
When choosing a colour for your bridesmaid dress, make sure you don’t say a general colour (Blue), try to narrow it down to a specific shade (Navy Blue). You can go to lincraft or spotlight to get sample colours for the girls, or choose the shade and place it on social media such as pinterest. Once you narrow a colour you then have to decide what length and material the dress will be.
At the end of the day, it is your day. Make sure you plan everything well in advanced. By giving advice and directions, your bridesmaid gowns should all come together perfectly.
