Stephanie & Charles
Stephanie and Charles tied the knot on the 2nd April 2022. They were married at St Mary Mackillop in Keilor Downs, Charles’ childhood and family parish, and had the reception at Lakeside reception, a premier wedding event venue in Melbourne’s North West.
Charles was nervous to propose to Stephanie, but he thought of a very special way to make it a memorable moment for the both of them. Stephanie tells us, “After work one night, Charles drove us to beautiful Mount Macedon. As we reached the lookout, I saw balloons and a bouquet of flowers waiting for me. Charles got a little nervous, but eventually got down on one knee. It was a beautiful moment with just the two of us.”
The wedding day was such a heartfelt day for both Stephanie and Charles and they felt so blessed to share the day with all their family and friends. Stephanie tells us, “The week of the wedding, the weather forecast was changing drastically. From sunny to downpours. I couldn’t do much more than prepare myself. So a few days before the big day, you found me running around the shops buying all the white and clear umbrellas I could find. I ended up with 20 umbrellas for a bridal party of 12. You never know, one could fly away! The day was absolutely perfect, I still remember walking down the aisle to Charles with the biggest smile on his face. The day was the true definition of two families coming together as one. There was so much love and joy in the air.”
Belle et Blanc bride ‘Stephanie’ came into our bridal store and picked out the stunning ‘Ruby’ wedding dress, a gorgeous princess gown, which she customise herself with the help of her bridal consultant, Anna. Stephanie tells us, “Without even entering the boutique, I immediately saw my dress in the window. It was nothing like I had tried on or thought I wanted. I was previously looking at full lace, sleeves. Anna my consultant, made me feel amazing in something so simple yet elegant. She had me try on different styles, but nothing screamed ME as much as that dress in the window. I still remember my mum seeing it on me for the first time – “this is it, this is you.”
Stephanie goes on to tell us how she felt in her gown and the process that went into making her dream creation “My dress required a few alterations to make it perfect. The top of it was initially a one shoulder drape, but me being so petite I only wanted some extra fabric draping across my bust and to customise it into a strapless gown. I had alterations all the way up to the week of the wedding. This seemed very chaotic, and worried my friends and family when I would tell them, but I did not once feel that. I felt at ease and trusted Belle et Blanc entirely with the whole process. Belle et Blanc was a dream to work with to make sure the gown fit perfectly on my body. I felt so beautiful in my dress. From the way the bodice hugged me to how the skirt fell on me, it was perfection. I felt confident. I felt like me. I felt seen. Nothing in the world could top my feeling.
We are so thankful to Stephanie and Charles, and feel so honoured Stephanie picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs.
