Emily & Luke
Emily and Luke tied the knot in beautiful Sydney on the 13th February 2021 at Curzon Hall, Marsfield and had their reception at Le Montage, Lilyfield in Sydney.
Emily and Luke met while each doing their daily work commute on the Sydney bus line. They never spoke but Emily tells us, “I always got so excited and nervous when he would get on the bus, and I hoped he would talk to me.” One day he sat right next to Emily and she flipped her work pass over hoping that Luke would see her name and look her up. Another time Emily caught a glimpse of Luke typing on his email and was able to see his full name. Emily eventually moved house and stopped taking that bus, but never forgot about Luke. One day she checked her messages on Facebook and found a message from Luke that was six months old, she was so shocked and she accepted his message right away hoping it wasn’t too late, thinking perhaps Luke may had moved on. He messaged her back that night and the rest they day is history. Emily tells us, “I married the bus boy!”
The proposal was so romantic and caught Emily by surprise. Luke had been planning to propose to Emily while her grandparents were visiting them in Melbourne, from Queensland. Emily had planned a trip to Aireys Inlet on the famous Great Ocean Road coastline. They had stopped at the the lighthouse at Aireys Inlet when Luke asked Emily to get a photo facing the view, but Emily got the surprise of her life when she turned around he was kneeling down ready to propose, how romantic!
The wedding day was simply magical and full of joy. Looking back now, Emily and Luke were so thankful to be able to spend their day with friends and family and enjoy the most magical day of their lives in the beautiful backdrop of Sydney.
Belle et Blanc bride ‘Emily’ came into our bridal store and picked out the absolutely stunning ‘Anita‘ wedding dress. Emily tells us, “I felt absolutely beautiful, I loved my gown so much. It’s timeless and I will always love it.”
We are so thankful to Emily and Luke, and feel so honoured Emily picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs.
