Louise and Cameron

Louise and Cameron tied the knot on the 13th May, 2023 at Saint Stephens Cathedral in Brisbane, followed by a reception at the historic Customs House in Brisbane. The magnificent heritage building with its elegant styling is the premier destination for Brisbane brides, with the Brisbane River providing a breathtaking backdrop.

Louise and Cameron met 16 years ago on the dating app RSVP, a contemporary way for many young couples to meet. Their connection was mutual, even though Cameron was so nervous on their first date, believing Louise to be out of his league. Louise tells us “There was an immediate attraction, and we both felt we had something special.”  Louise tells us how Cameron proposed, “Cameron proposed on my birthday at Cotton Tree Pier, Maroochydore, a special place for Cameron; as he spent many childhood holidays there. It was lovely, private and very romantic, just us and the beach, I was looking out onto the ocean, and I turned around, and he was on one knee.”

Belle et Blanc bride ‘Louise’ came into our bridal store and picked out the stunning Rosalina’ wedding dress, a gorgeous princess gown in sumptuous duchess satin. Louise tells us, “It was by chance, actually! I was down in Melbourne visiting family and friends, and I decided to have a look around the Sydney Road Bridal Precinct in Brunswick. I stumbled across the store and was drawn to the quality of the dresses. Well, I had tried on perhaps 50 or more lace, princess style gowns before I tried on the Rosalina. I only tried it on because it was suggested to me by the lovely bridal consultant Sara, and I was reluctant to try it on. It was totally out of my comfort zone and what I thought I wanted. Immediately, everyone around me loved it, so I had feedback from others before I could even adjust to the thought of a satin gown. I am forever indebted to my bridal consultant Sara now! It felt very different in my wedding gown, more glamorous than anything else I had tried. I loved the cinched waist and long train, it had a Grace Kelly look to it. It was traditional, but the split gave it a modern edge.”

The wedding day for Louise and Cameron was such a wonderful day, accompanied by their nearest and dearest friends and family. Louise tells us, “After quite a lot of pressure in the buildup, it was both an emotional and exhilarating day. We have had such a long relationship, and it was such a feeling of relief and happiness when we were announced as husband and wife, we finally did it!” The most fun part of the day was definitely our bridal party entrance to the reception. Each couple had their own song and dance based on their personalities, and we had everything from Metallica to Slim Dusty.  Everyone loved it and it was a ‘let your hair down’ moment after the formalities of the ceremony, our guests loved it, and it was the most fun part of the night.”

Our entire team of wedding dress designers, are so thankful toLouise and Cameron, and feel so honoured Louise picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs.
