Jade & Stephen
Jade and Stephen tied the knot on the 4th March 2022. They were married at Poet’s Lane in Sherbrooke, Victoria. Poet’s Lane is a premium wedding and reception venue, located just 50 minutes from Melbourne and nestled in the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, which offers an indoor or outdoor ceremony, onsite accommodation, an elegant reception room looking out onto an expansive, beautiful garden, and offers magnificent photography options.
Stephen planned a memorable proposal for Jade on a holiday they took together to Japan in 2019, and it encompassed both their passions for the Harry Potter franchise. Jade tells us, “It was one of the most magical days of my life, I am a huge Harry Potter fan and we were dressed up in our Hogwarts robes and Stephen’s best friend was taking photos of us, then all of a sudden, Stephen got down on one knee and he proposed to me by the lake in front of Hogwarts castle at Harry Potter world at Universal Studios. Stephen’s best friend had recorded the whole proposal!
The wedding day was such a wonderful day for both Jade and Stephan; filled with family, love and joy, in their magical forest setting, which captured the magical fairytale princess look Jade was after. Jade tells us on her wedding day, she felt nervous for her big day, but ultimately what took over, were feelings of happiness and excitement to be marrying Stephen, the man of her dreams.
Jade shares a funny story that happened during the wedding, Jade tells us, “My husband and I went into the forest to get photos along with our bridesmaids and a few of us got leeches on us! It was so unexpected and pretty funny! The most memorable part of the wedding was definitely the beautiful ceremony and the Lebanese drummers for our entrance.”
Belle et Blanc bride ‘Jade’ came into our bridal store and picked out the stunning ‘Marissa’ wedding dress, a gorgeous A-line gown, in a beautiful sequinned ivory lace, overlaid onto a nude underlay with romantic fluffy tulle. Jade tells us, “True story, Belle et Blanc was the first ever bridal store I went to and the dress I chose was the first dress I tried on. I would have never picked that dress, my initial vision was very ball gown Disney Princess style. I personally didn’t like my dress ‘Marissa’ when I saw it online, however once I tried it on, it looked totally different on me and I ended up loving it! So I ended up choosing A -line style over ball gown style. Marissa was the first ever wedding dress I tried on and I instantly fell in love with it, and so did my Mum. I tried other dresses and they all looked good, but nothing gave me that spark in my eyes like the Marissa dress.”
We are so thankful to Jade and Stephan, and feel so honoured Jade picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs.
