Lucy & Brent
Lucy and Brent tied the knot on the 12th March 2022. They were married at the scenic Portsea Golf Club, located on the majestic Mornington Peninsula amid rolling greens and local Moonah trees, and offering guests unsurpassed views across Port Phillip Bay. The Portsea Golf Club provides a picture perfect wedding location.
Brent took his opportunity to propose on Lucy’s birthday in between lockdowns in 2020. He knew he might not get another opportunity for a while! They went out for dinner in the city at Lucy’s favourite restaurant and afterwards took a walk down the Yarra enjoying the city lights. Brent pretended to take a photograph, but then dropped to one knee and pulled out a solitaire diamond engagement ring.
The wedding day was such a special day for both Lucy and Brent and they felt so blessed to share the day with all their family and friends. Lucy shares with us something she will always remember. “One of the memorable moments from our wedding was our dance. Neither of us are dancers, but we choreographed and practised our own little performance to Lifehouse’s ‘You and Me’. Our guests were really surprised and applauded when we started doing some basic steps, but by the end, after some lifts, swings and dips, some guests were even on their feet and cheering us on!”
Belle et Blanc bride ‘Lucy’ came into our bridal store and picked out the stunning ‘Sandy’ wedding dress, a gorgeous princess gown with romantic flowing tulle and lattice lace appliqué detailing. Lucy always knew she wanted a beautiful ball gown with a sweetheart neckline that made her feel like a princess. She is very particular and did lots of research online to find a boutique with a range of classic ballgown styles, and that is how she found Belle et Blanc. She attended her first appointment and met her ‘Sandy’ by herself, and then brought her Mum and bridesmaids back so they could see that she had found her perfect gown.
Lucy tells us how she felt in her wedding gown on her wedding day, “I felt like the perfect, classic bride in the gown. It is amazing how a gorgeous bridal gown gives you confidence, and I felt myself standing taller and moving more gracefully! It was such a statement piece at the ceremony and looked so elegant with the amazing train, and the gown moved beautifully on the dance floor too.
We are so thankful to Lucy and Brent, and feel so honoured Lucy picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs.
