Laura and Jonathan
Laura and Jonathan tied the knot on the 17th September 2022 at Bramleigh Estate in Warandyte, the estate is nestled on 10 acres of natural Warrandyte bushland in the Yarra Valley, Bramleigh Estate is a luxury escape for a private, intimate wedding with family and friends, Awarded Best Wedding Reception Venue at the 2022 Victorian ABIA Awards, and Best Wedding Caterer at the 2022 Victoria & Tasmania Restaurant & Catering Awards for Excellence.
Laura shares with us how she met Jonathan on a holiday, and even he was a little closer to home than she could have ever thought, “On 23rd of June 2017 we met in Queenstown, New Zealand where we were both on a ski trip. Little did we know, we only lived 30 minutes from each other at home in Melbourne. We spent some time together, getting to know one another and it was fabulous.”
Jonathan took Laura by surprise when he proposed to her. “After being together for nearly 4 years and building our house together, Jonathan surprised me on a weekend away on my 24th birthday at Campbell Point House on the Bellarine Peninsula. Upon arrival, I was in awe of the most beautiful French inspired luxury accommodation. The garden and grounds were immaculate. I was very excited to spend the night there. Before exploring our surroundings, we shared some delicious tea whilst watching the swans in the lake from our window. Jonathan began saying, “We better check out this place.” I put on my jacket and went for a walk. Little did I know, Jonathan had organised a photographer to capture the moment he proposed. I had just finished saying to Jonathan, this place would be perfect for a wedding, and he dropped to one knee and proposed. It was the most amazing, wonderful and magical feeling. I cried. Have you ever watched proposal videos and thought, ” Why do they always cry?” I always thought that, until my experience. We spent the rest of the afternoon taking some gorgeous photos and sipping champagne. Looking back now, my proposal weekend was such a spectacular, special time that Jonathan and I shared, just us against the world.”
“Belle et Blanc bride ‘Laura’ came into our bridal store and picked out the stunning ‘Madelyn’ wedding dress. On my wedding dress shopping day, I was unsuccessful and just didn’t get the wow factor I was after. I didn’t have an appointment, I was met with a lovely welcome from Sara, she offered to allow me to try on the gown. I felt so beautiful like a princess. We all shed a tear as it brought so much joy to all of us. I felt that it suited everything I was looking for, sparkly without being a disco ball, fitted, while being free to dance. I loved the beading and all the flower lace appliqué details, but most of all I was obsessed with my detachable sleeves. My shopping experience was the most fun and bubbly time with Sara. I loved all the lovely staff who attended to me throughout the fitting process. My mum, sister in law and myself will never forget the moment we saw my gown in the window and shared that beautiful experience together. Thank you to everyone at Belle et Blanc for a gorgeous fit and flare, strapless gown, in beautiful textured lace.”
“The wedding day for Laura and Jonathan was such a wonderful day, accompanied with their nearest and dearest friends and family, filled with memories they will cherish together. Laura tells us, “Our wedding day was lovely, it was such a special day surrounded by our friends and family. It came and went so quickly. It was so much fun getting ready, especially putting on my gorges wedding gown. We would love to do it all over again.”
