Lucy & Daniel
Lucy & Daniel say their ‘I do’s’ at Josef Chromy Wines in beautiful Tasmania on the 30th November 2019.
Daniel had a very well thought out proposal planned out for Lucy, it started out with a work pretence but it turned out to be an unforgettable weekend for them both. Daniel had told Lucy he had to attend a winery getaway for work and Lucy was to come along. Lucy none the wiser, went along with Daniel and attended the TarraWarra Estate. Daniel had asked one of the employees to take a photo of them both with the beautiful backdrop of the vineyards. As they were posing Daniel got down on one knee as asked Lucy “Will you marry me?” and for Lucy it was definite ‘Yes!’
As they were driving to Balgownie Estate Winery for lunch, Lucy hopped out of the car, and she was greeted by all her family. She had no idea Daniel had planned this. To top it off, she had her brother and sister in-law spinning the decks on the grass playing “Let’s Get Married”. There were plenty of happy tears from Lucy, and a whole lot of memories that were captured. What a beautiful proposal story!
Their wedding day was quite theatrical! They got married at the scenic Josef Chromy Winery in Tasmania, and the weather there is a lucky dip! The morning was brilliantly sunny, with blue skies and no wind – the perfect wedding day you could possibly ask for. However, as Lucy and her three bridesmaids were en route to the venue in the afternoon, the weather took a dramatic turn. They were literally driving into blackness! As they arrived at the ceremony, they managed to make it through all the formalities without a drop of rain, and not moments later after family photos, it bucketed down. Not only that, there was hail, thunder and lightning. It was like someone had a weather switch and flicked it on and off as they pleased. It only added to some dramatic photos that were captured, so it worked perfectly their favour.
Belle et Blanc ‘Lucy’ came into our bridal store and picked out the absolutely stunning ‘Morgan‘ wedding dress. Lucy tells us, ‘As cliched as it sounds, ‘Morgan’ was in fact my dream dress. I’ve always wanted an A-line gown made of lace, so it absolutely fit the brief in my quest for my dream gown. As we walked down Sydney Road, we saw the beautiful dresses in the front window of Belle et Blanc, and I just knew my dress would be in the store. After trying on 3 dresses, I found it, it was the one. It felt amazing to walk down the aisle in something you truly love towards the man of your dreams. It will definitely be a memory I cherish.”
We are so thankful to Lucy and Daniel, and feel so honoured Lucy picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs!
