Tessa and Rhys

Tessa and Rhys say ‘I do’ in a beautiful wedded wonderland in a grand marquee on their property in Tasmania, on the 4th January 2020.

Tessa and Rhys are a true modern day love story, they are high school sweethearts and their love story began when Tessa was just 16 years old. Rhys wanted pay homage to their high school courtship and as Tessa tells us, “Rhys wanted to purpose to me on the same bench he asked me out on but it was school holidays and the school was closed. So just outside the school gate was perfect for us!”

Their wedding day was fairytale and Tessa sure did look like a princess.  They got married on their own block of land which they styled as a wedding wonderland in a beautiful marquee filled with fairy lights  The sign at the entrance of the marquee set the welcoming and loving tone for the day reading, “Come as you are, stay as long as you can, we are all family, so no seating plan.”  Tessa tells us by being married on their own land, “It was personal and filled with so much love!” 

Belle et Blanc ‘Tessa’ came into our bridal store and picked out the absolutely stunning ‘Sandra’ wedding dress. Tessa tells us, “A family friend bought her wedding dress from Belle et Blanc a few years ago and when I was planning my wedding she recommended your bridal store.”  When she tried on the gorgeous Sandra gown, she knew it was the one and in her own words Tessa tells us, “It was the first dress I picked out; it was the skirt, it was so pretty and has tiny iridescent sequins which were placed on the layers of tulle giving the dress and extra helping of fairytale quality.”

We are so thankful to Tessa & Rhys, and  feel so honoured Tessa picked Belle et Blanc to be part of their day, and we absolutely love the photographs!
