Mia & Dylan

Mia & Dylan tied the knot on the 26th November 2023 at The Royal Santrian in Bali, the ceremony was held on a private white sandy beach at Tanjung Benoa; it was the ultimate way to celebrate their love on the tropical island of Bali. The reception was held where Dylan’s family resides in Mauritius.

Dylan proposed to Mia in a very special and memorable way. Mia tells us, ‘Dylan proposed to me on a beautiful sunny summer day in the Yarra Valley. We were walking in the vineyard, just the two of us, when he told me to turn around, and he popped the question. There was no one around, no camera, no one to capture the moment, just the two of us, taking it all in and shared that beautiful moment.”

Belle et Blanc bride ‘Mia’ came into our bridal store and picked out the stunning ‘Aylin’ wedding dress, a gorgeous fit and flare gown, with floral lace, delicate beading and iridescent sparkle tulle lining. Mia tells us, “Belle et Blanc was actually the first bridal shop I went to.
I went in without too much expectation. And one of the bridal consultants at the shop, Olivia, recommended me to try one of the dresses that has some sparkle in it. When I put on that dress and saw myself in the mirror, I was mesmerised. It was so beautiful. All of sudden, it just came over me, I got emotional and shed some tears, I really felt like a bride and did not know that I could feel so beautiful like that.

Mia continues, “Like any other bride, I tried on so many other dresses after that, they are all beautiful, but none of them gave me the same special feeling as the dress I tried at Belle et Blanc. After much deliberation and a few more dress tries, I decided that the ‘Aylin’ dress is the one. Until now I do not regret that decision.”

Mia tells us about her dress fitting experience here with us at Belle et Blanc. “My experience with Belle et Blanc has been very pleasant. Donna is the one that makes it for me. She is absolutely amazing! She is professional, knowledgeable, and experienced. She gave me good tips, a professional and honest opinion, and she is so warm. I really really loved having her as my dress fitter, and I was really sad when I picked up my wedding dress, because it was the end of the of a beautiful little journey.”

The wedding day for Mia & Dylan was such a wonderful day, they were very lucky to have a destination wedding in not one but two special locations; Bali & Mauritius. Mia tells us, “Our wedding is a little bit different. We did the wedding in Bali, and a few weeks after that we flew to Mauritius, where Dylan’s family
resides, and did a small reception there. The wedding in Bali is all outdoors, and rain was one of my main concerns.
The day started out beautifully, it was sunny, the sky was blue, and the weather was warm. The moment I put on my wedding dress, the sky started to turn grey, and slowly it got darker and darker.
Everyone was trying to keep my spirits high, and told me the weather is getting to get better, and it is not
going to rain.”

Mia continues, “I decided to keep the wedding by the beach and go ahead with whatever that is going to happen.
All the guests were seated and ready for the ceremony, and…. it started to rain!
There is nothing I could do. I walked down the aisle in my wedding dress which had a long train and my veil, sweeping the wet ground, with my Dad holding the umbrella. Everyone was holding an umbrella, and the rain got heavier and heavier, to the point that no one could sit
down because the chairs were all wet! Regardless of the rain, it was a beautiful ceremony. No words can describe all the emotions and happiness we felt on that day. Even though I was hoping for a sunny Bali wedding, I would not change it any other way. It was unique and different, and both of us just embraced the rain.” We just love the photograph of the wedding ceremony in Bali below, with all the umbrellas, and the dark sky contrasting the beach, it makes for a spectacular photograph!
